There are several methods to retrieve tissue from breast lesions for analysis. Almost all suspicious changes within the breast can be biopsied using minimally invasive techniques, i.e. without surgery.

Our office procedures for breast biopsy include:

• Fine needle biopsy
• Accelerated core needle biopsy
• Stereotactic vacuum needle biopsy (performed at the Breast Center)
• Sonographic vacuum needle biopsy (performed at the Breast Center)
